Busan, I love the city, is the second-largest city in South Korea and is a pretty famous destination for tourists. Why wouldn’t it be a good choice for visitors? From history to culture and modernism, everything you can explore in Busan.

Gamcheon Culture Village

The first thing about Busan I love is Gamcheon Culture Village. When I first arrived there, I saw the beauty of the village. It was amazing! If you are bored staying in the city, Busan is here to explore the village. This village is also known as the “Machu Picchu of Busan”. It’s a colorful community on a hillside with lots of art, galleries, and narrow streets. It’s a great spot for people who love art and taking photos. The sad thing is that when I visited the village, I did not have a camera or even a good phone to take some photos, which was frustrating 🙂

Haeundae Beach

Who doesn’t love excitement? Haeundae Beach is an exhilarating destination with everything a tourist could want – restaurants, shops, and more. You can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. I highly recommend visiting this place. Haeundae Beach is perhaps the most famous beach in South Korea, stretching nearly 1.5 kilometers.

Busan Tower

Busan Tower, also known as Busan Diamond Tower, stands at a height of about 120 meters. The most fascinating thing about the tower is the stunning 360-degree views it offers. Busan Port, the sea, and the mountain range make Busan Tower complete. It’s completely free to enter! There is a small cafe located on the deck where you can enjoy refreshments while taking in the view. Such a glorious feeling.

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

If you’re looking for a place to experience Korean culture and stunning scenery, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is a must-visit. Just be prepared for crowds, especially during peak season.

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is unique because it’s by the sea and dedicated to the Goddess of Buddha. It’s big and has a beautiful statue and steps down to the water. Even though its history is a bit uncertain, lots of people like to visit, especially during Buddha’s Birthday and for sunrise. It’s in Gijang County, not far from Haeundae Beach, and it’s a cool place to see Korean culture and nature. Just know it can get crowded sometimes, especially on busy days.

Jagalchi Fish Market

Are you a food lover? If you are, the best place to visit is Jagalchi Fish Market. Jagalchi Fish Market is a must-visit spot where you can find fresh seafood, selling both live and dried fish. I bought some raw fish there. It’s a really ideal place for fish. The fish is considerably cheaper. This is the largest seafood market in Korea. Always be prepared for the crowds and the lively atmosphere, and don’t forget to come hungry! However, the market is divided into two main sections. The inner building houses stalls with a wide variety of fresh seafood on display. The outer section has a more traditional market feel, with street vendors selling prepared seafood snacks and dried goods.

Taejongdae Resort Park

Let’s do some outdoor activities. Taejongdae Resort Park is a great place to spend a day exploring the outdoors and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Busan. Whether you’re interested in hiking, sightseeing, or just relaxing on the beach, there’s something for everyone at Taejongdae Resort Park.

Taejongdae Resort Park, named after King Taejong Muyeol, is a beautiful spot with lots to do. You can stroll along well-kept trails with amazing ocean views, visit the historic Yeongdo Lighthouse, or check out unique rock formations like Haesangdang Rock and Sinseondae Rock. Families can hop on the Danubi Train for a fun ride, and everyone can enjoy the stunning scenery, with clear days offering views all the way to Japan. Getting there is easy with buses from Nampo-dong. The most interesting part is that the park is free to enter, but some attractions might have a small fee. In my experience, it’s really worth it to enjoy the place.

Shinsegae Centum City

Shinsegae Department Store can be found in many places in Korea. I had the chance to work at a Burger Shop called Burgers Almighty in Shinsegae Department Store, Myeondong. However, there is only one Shinsegae Department Store in Busan, and it’s located in Centum City, the world’s largest department store complex according to Guinness World Records. It’s a one-stop shop for everything you could ever need, from luxury goods to everyday essentials. They also have a variety of entertainment options, including an ice rink, a movie theater, a spa, and even a theme park! Why wouldn’t you visit the store, which is teeming with lots of activities? I do recommend visiting the place and enjoying your shopping experience.

Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) Square

If you want to experience Busan’s movie culture and yummy food, BIFF Square is the place to go. BIFF Square in Busan, South Korea, is next to Jagalchi Market and opposite the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) complex. It’s a fun place that celebrates movies and food. You can see handprints of famous filmmakers and enjoy tasty local snacks like “sseed hotteok.” During the festival, the square is bustling with activity. It’s also a nice spot to chill and watch the city buzz by.

Songdo Cable Car

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, take a break from walking tours and hop on a thrilling cable car ride! Soar 282 feet high above the city for an exhilarating experience, offering breathtaking views of landmarks like Namhang Bridge and Songdo Beach. It’s a must-do activity for thrill-seekers craving adventure and unforgettable sights!

The Busan Museum offers a great opportunity to learn about Busan’s rich history and culture. With its wide range of exhibits and artifacts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The Busan Museum, also formerly called Busan Metropolitan Museum, is a great place to visit if you want to delve into the history and culture of Busan. It was founded in 1978 and houses a vast collection of artifacts that range from the prehistoric era to the modern period. Though a little cost is requeued to enter the museum, it totally worth it to visit.
