Namhae is a picturesque island located in South Gyeongsang Province, and it’s aĀ part of the Korean Peninsula and is part of an archipelago. It is connected to the mainland by the Namhae Bridge.
Namhae to Seoul: The distance between Namhae and Seoul isĀ 157 km. The road distance is 163.3 km. You can use to go there – bus, train, subway, can and taxi. But the fastest and reasonable way to go Namhae to Seoul is to train which takes around 1h 36m and costs ā©18,000 – ā©24,000.

Gacheon Daraengi Village (ź°ģ² ė¤ėģ“ė§ģ): Daraengi Village is the top attraction in Namhae. It’s the most popular spot for tourists during their stay on the island. Ā The village is a typical rural Korean village where houses were built right by the rice fields on the edge of the cliff with very narrow roads.
Boriam Hermitage: Located on Geumsan Mountain, Boriam Hermitage is one of the most significant Buddhist sites in the region. It offers panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding islands and is famous for its stunning sunrises and 360-degree views of Namhae.
Geumsan Boriam is one of the 12 most scenic spots in southern Korea. Founded in 683 by Wonhyo Daesa, it is one of Koreaās three largest Gwaneum sacred sites. This popular tourist destination attracts many visitors year-round.
Sangju Beach: Do you need chill? Ok, let’s go to Sangju Beach, which is At the bottom of Geumsan, head to Sangju Beach, one of the prettiest beaches in Namhae. Sangju Beach is a 2 km stretch of soft white sand with shallow waters. During summer, it can be quite packed with tourists. The beach is also popular for its many water sports activities, such as kayaking.
Mulgeolli Bangjoeoburim Forest: Near the German Village, visit Mulgeolli Bangjoeoburim, a 1,500-meter-long coastal forest planted by villagers 300 years ago to protect against strong winds and tsunamis. The forest, home to trees like oak, hackberry, cypress, and bamboo, offers a pleasant, shady walk, especially on hot days. Villagers work hard to preserve it, knowing its importance for the neighborhood’s protection.
