Are you looking for Korean side dishes potato?

You come to the right place to know about everything about Korean side dishes potato. I am with you, Gazi. I have been living since September 6, 2023. I have been pursuing my IBA here. I fell in love with Korea culture. The more I explore, the more I get surprised. However, Korea is very famous for side dishes and even Korea has more side menu than the main one, which is very fascinating.

Korean potato side dishes are diverse and flavorful, often featuring a mix of sweet, savory, and spicy elements. I can’t wait to share my experience with you!

Gamja Jorim (감자조림) is the most famous potato dish. Why will not be famous? I think, it deserves.

Gamja Jorim is a braised potato dish that combines potatoes with a sweet and savory soy-based sauce.

Potatoes, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and sometimes sesame oil and sesame seeds for garnish all things make a remarkable combination. It highly recommended to try it.

Gamja Bokkeum (감자볶음)

Gamja Bokkeum (감자볶음) is one of my favorite side dishes. I have this a few times a week. A stir-fried potato dish, similar to hash browns but with a Korean twist.

It consists of potatoes, onions, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, and sometimes gochugaru (Korean red chili pepper flakes) for a bit of heat.

Gamja Jeon (감자전)

Potato pancakes that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Potatoes, salt, and sometimes a little bit of flour or starch to bind, I love them, all ingredients make a perfect meal for you.

Gamja Salad (감자 샐러드)

A Korean-style potato salad, often creamier and slightly sweeter than Western versions.

Grated potatoes are mixed with salt and sometimes a bit of starch, then shaped into small pancakes and fried until golden brown. They can be served with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce and vinegar.

Sounds wow, doesn’t it?
