Ready to enjoy the wonders of Gyeonggi South Korea?
I am here to tell you exactly how best to enjoy Gyeonggi South Korea. I am Gazi with you. I have been living in Korea since September 6, 2023. Let’s dive into the topic.
Gyeonggi Province, located in the heart of South Korea, surrounds Seoul and offers a mix of cultural, historical, and natural attractions.
Table of Contents
ToggleSuwon Hwaseong Fortress
The first thing to do in Gyeonggi-do is to visit Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site, this fortress was built in the late 18th century and offers beautiful architecture, historical significance, and panoramic views of Suwon city.
It’s a must-visit place, and highly recommend thing. You’ll love it.
Everland Theme Park
The second place to enjoy is to visit Everland Theme Park. I think you should have a separate day to visit Everland Theme Park. The reason why you should visit is because it is one of South Korea’s largest and most popular theme parks, Everland is located in Yongin and offers a variety of rides, attractions, a zoo, and seasonal festivals.
The DMZ
Panmunjom (Joint Security Area): This is one of the most unique and historically significant places to visit, where you can get a glimpse of North Korea and learn about the Korean War.
Dora Observatory: Offers views of North Korea, including the city of Kaesong.
If you like history, then a must-visited place for you.
Bukhansan National Park
Bukhansan National Park, a favorite among hikers, is just outside Seoul. For an easy hike, try the Bukhansanseong Course leading to Baegundae Peak, the park’s highest point. More experienced hikers can tackle the tougher Uisangneungseon Course to Nahangon Peak, or choose the short but steep path to Uisanbong Peak. Autumn is the best time to visit, as the park is filled with beautiful fall colors. The trails are well-marked, but if you’re worried about getting lost, consider booking a private hiking tour, which might include a relaxing sauna afterward.
Gyeonggi English Village
If you have not visited any European country, then Gyeonggi English Village is make you feel.
The English Village in Seoul feels like a trip to England or Europe. It features beautiful architecture and artistic decorations, making it a great spot for photos. The weather was cool, adding to the charm. There’s also a nice coffee shop you shouldn’t miss. Make sure to get a new passport to collect stamps as a souvenir from your visit to the English Village.
