Daewangam Park is a stunning coastal park in Ulsan featuring dramatic rock formations, a famous suspension bridge, and panoramic ocean views.
Located on Ulsan’s eastern coast, this park combines natural beauty with the legendary story of King Munmu who wished to become a dragon protecting Korea after death.
About Daewangam Park
Location: Ilsan-dong, Dong-gu, Ulsan
Famous for: Daewangam Rock (Dragon King Rock), suspension bridge over the sea, coastal cliffs
Entrance fee: Free

The park’s name comes from Daewangam Rock, a large offshore rock formation where King Munmu’s ashes were supposedly scattered. The dramatic coastal scenery and accessible walking trails make it one of Ulsan’s top attractions.
Daewangam Park Suspension Bridge
The highlight of the park is the 303-meter suspension bridge connecting the mainland to a small island. Built in 2015, this swaying bridge offers thrilling ocean views 20 meters above the waves.
Walking across takes about 5-10 minutes and provides stunning photo opportunities of the rocky coastline and turquoise waters. The bridge is safe and well-maintained but can sway noticeably on windy days.
